Vaccination Protocol Update

ABC is committed to providing quality preventive care for your pet in an affordable, accessible way and this protocol update is part of our care for you, your pets, and the community.

Veterinary studies show that after your pet has built immunity, he needs vaccinations, but not every year. Your adult cat or dog may be eligible for a 3 year vaccination frequency for Feline Respiratory/Feline Leukemia, Canine Distemper/Parvo Combo if he has received his initial series of vaccinations AND appropriate boosters. (This protocol is similar to Waco/McLennan County Rabies Vaccination requirements). If your pet’s environment and disease exposure is high risk, you may want to vaccinate more frequently than every 3 years. Discuss timing or other special concerns during your pet’s next visit with his veterinarian.

With savings from less frequent vaccinations, we suggest basics like having your pet microchipped and maintaining your pet on lifetime heartworm prevention/flea control. Animal Birth Control Clinic is a preventive care spay/neuter/vaccination clinic. We recommend annual wellness visits to your full-service veterinary clinic for your pet’s health evaluation or early health concerns.
Schedule your next pet visit into the future. Give staff your email address; we will soon begin giving reminders via email only.
