Vaccination Frequency and Testing Information

ABC is committed to providing access to quality, affordable preventive care for your pet. This thoughtful protocol is part of our care for you, your pets, and the community.

Veterinary studies show that after your pet has built immunity, vaccinations are often not needed every year. Your adult cat or dog may be eligible for a 3 year vaccination frequency for Feline Respiratory/Feline Leukemia, and Canine Distemper/Parvo Combo if the initial series of vaccinations AND appropriate boosters are complete.(This protocol is similar to Waco/McLennan County Rabies Vaccination requirements). If your pet’s environment and disease exposure is high risk, you may want to vaccinate more frequently. Discuss timing or other special concerns during your pet’s next visit.

With savings from less frequent vaccinations, we suggest having your pet microchipped, maintaining your pet on lifetime heartworm prevention and considering a flea/tick control. We recommend annual wellness visits to your full-service veterinary clinic for full health evaluations like blood tests and early health concerns.

Give staff your email address to get your emailed reminders for your pet's care.
